Production numbers for the 1976 Targa

Hello all,
I'm interested in knowing what the production numbers were for the 1976 Targa. My VIN ends with ....0083 so I know that at least 83 were built. Somewhere on-line I found that it was the "I" series 911, and only 248 units were built. Can anyone verify these numbers?

By the way, I showed my Targa at the PCA Intermountain Region Concours event a couple of weeks ago and took Best of Show. Yahoo!!

Did you all know that there are only 45 registered 1976 Targas in the country? I obtained this information from Hagerty Ins. Co. last year. Talk about rare.

Hello Mills, are your around?
